Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly linkup of book bloggers hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl! This week, we’re talking about the books we’re most looking forward to that are being released before July of this year. I, of course, read mostly backlist but there are always frontlist books I’m interested in reading are here are ten coming out in the next six-ish months!

The Old Fire: This actually comes out today! It’s about two estranged sisters who come back together to clean out their father’s house after he dies and that sounds very much up my alley.
Good People: A story about an immigrant Afghan family whose rags-to-riches success story is disrupted when something happens involving one of their daughters, which sounds fascinating.
I Hope You Find What You’re Looking For: This is another immigration story, about an Eritrean family living in the US and experiencing turmoil as their home country approaches its independence. As I focus on authors of color this year I imagine immigration is going to be a major theme!
Strange Girls: I’m always interested in a female friendship story!
Sakura: I am also likely to be a sucker for a book about a dog.
Almost Life: This one is about a lifelong queer entanglement between two women and I do tend to enjoy long-running dramatic love stories.
The Library of Flowers: This seems like it could be cheesy in the wrong way (a story about a family who have been perfumers through several generations and some have the power to craft a scent that will make people fall in love) but also maybe cheesy in the right way?
A Splintering: Scheming social climbers either really works for me or really doesn’t so I hope this one does!
The Future Perfect: Mothers and daughters and guilt and love and obligation sounds like something that will likely draw me in!
The Unicorn Hunters: I have been in the bag for Katherine Arden since The Bear and the Nightingale and loved everything else I’ve read from her so I am psyched for her new one, though obviously I won’t be reading it until next year.
Sakura looks adorable.
The Unicorn Hunters looks amazing! I hope you love these books 😊.

A lot of people seem to be looking forward to The Unicorn Hunters! I’ll definitely have to keep an eye out for some reviews when the time comes.
I love everything I’ve read that she’s written so my hopes are high!
These are all new to me but I hope you enjoy them!
I also am a sucker for a story about a dog, that cover is awesome, plus contemporary Japanese fiction – sign me up 🙂 Looks like a really fun list, enjoy. My 2026 most anticipated list is here if interested https://theparteveryoneskips.com/posts/20260107-top-ten-tuesday-most-anticipated-books-beginning-2026/
I don’t always love sentimental books but it seems like the right kind of sentimental for me!
