Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly linkup of book bloggers hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl! This week, we’re talking about last year’s releases that we haven’t quite managed to read yet but still want to! I read very little frontlist, so it’s hardly surprising there are still 2023 releases I want to read, but here are ten that especially come to mind!
Yellowface: There’s been a lot of chatter about this one, I’m very curious about it!
Tom Lake: I do enjoy Ann Patchett and this one is set in my beloved home state of Michigan, so I really want to get to it!
Reproduction: Being pregnant and having a baby was one of the most intense things I’ve ever done, and I’m increasingly interested in fiction that explores that part of life.
Natural Beauty: I saw this book show up on some best-of-the-year lists, and it sounds like it has the kind of horror elements (creepy and unsettling) that I can handle.
Mobility: I’ve generally heard good things about this book, a coming-of-age story (my favorite!) about class and politics and the compromises we make.
Commitment: I am always down for a story about family, both blood family and those who become family by choice.
Foster Dade Explores The Cosmos: It doesn’t matter how badly I’ve been burned before, I will always read a boarding school book.
Biography of X: Several people in some book circles I’m in called this alternative fiction read their favorite book of 2023 so I want to make sure to get to it!
Fourth Wing: I like to pretend I am above it all but I am not immune to a buzzy romantacy book!
Romantic Comedy: I loved Curtis Sittenfeld’s Prep and actually own several of her other works because I want to read more from her brain!

You have some books that I really enjoyed on your list. Romantic Comedy and Yellowface were probably my favourite along with Biography of X. Happy reading when you get to them.

YELLOWFACE has been a popular choice this week! I’m curious about it as well. I hope you enjoy it and all these others when you get to them.
Happy TTT (on a Thursday)!
